Blooming Tree Photography offers a portrait experience handcrafted to bring your memories to life.
From our very first conversation, you’ll begin thinking about your portrait session with the end in mind. The best place for your portraits is beautifully printed on the highest quality materials for you to display in your home and enjoy every day, not sitting on hard drive and forgotten.
With that in mind, What details about your family now, would you like to remember in 20 years? And how do you want to remember them? In an album that can be handed down from generation to generation? Or a wall portrait that will make you smile when you pass by it every day? Or maybe a collection of images arranged in a wall gallery that highlights your growing family year after year?
I begin with the end in mind. Before taking any images, we create a plan for how they will be displayed in your home. Creating a plan and shooting for that plan results in a session that makes magic every single time.
Before the Session
Style and Concept Consultation
This process starts with a phone call to get to know each other and ask all the questions.
We’ll will book your appointment and I’ll send you more info and a questionnaire outlining your goals for the session.
I want to know all about your personality, likes/dislikes, funny things your kids or spouse do, and what makes your family tick.
I’ll will request you send snapshots of your home where you are thinking of displaying your images.
This exchange will allow me to get to know you and your family more before the session and identify a few areas of your home to create beautiful wall galleries or discuss what other products will best fit your family.
You’ll even have a chance to go over your wardrobe and select your outfits or color choices for your portrait session, keeping in mind what will coordinate with your house decor.
The session
In Studio or on-Location
Newborn and milestone sessions take place at my residential studio in Frisco TX.
I work with controlled studio lighting and a wonderful selection of custom props and set designs.
The studio offers a calm and relaxed environment to create a look for you that’s timeless and sophisticated.
Family sessions happen in the DFW area at an agreed location creating a space that is comfortable and familiar to families leading to more relaxed and natural expressions.
At the end of our session, we will schedule your in-person design & ordering experience
After the Session
Design and Ordering Appointment
This is the best part!
The Design & Ordering Appointment is the time when you will see how all of the planning and preparation pays off.
After your session, I will carefully curate the best images, the ones that reveal your best facial expressions, posing, with optimum lighting and sharpness.
The Design & Ordering Appointment is often an emotional and personal experience.
We’ll review product details and pricing together, and you’ll see the actual size and image pairings for your wall portrait, gallery or heirloom album.
Portrait Delivery: After your order is placed, I’ll finalize editing and send the order my exclusive, professional lab for printing. Your art pieces will be ready for in approximately 4-5 weeks. Any digital images ordered will be delivered at the time you pick up your prints. Installation is available if needed.
